NEW YORK, KOMPAS.com — Former World Heavyweight boxing champion, Michael Dokes, died after suffering cancer of the lever.
Dokes died at the age of 54. He captured the title of world champion by beating KO Boxer Mike Weaver on December 10, 1982.

After losing to face Evander Holyfield and Riddick Bowe, Dokes resigned in 1997 with a record of 53 WINS, fought six times, losing twice and draw.
After retiring, Dokes was languishing in jail for eight years between 2000-2008 because convicted in assassination, kidnapping, and sexual assault against his girlfriend.
