Tontowi/Liliyana and Sony get away

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Indonesia passed Tontowi Liliyana Natsir/Ahmad and Sony Dwi Kuncoro to the quarter-finals of Korea Open Superseries premiere, Thursday (10/1).

In the second round match at the Olympic Gymnasium, Seoul, Tontowi/Liliyana highlights in second place to get rid of a double origin of Japan, Kenichi Hayakawa/Misaki Matsumoto. They won easily 21-4, 21-11 in 21 minutes.

In the meantime, the only representative of the men's singles Sony Dwi Kuncoro, also advanced to the quarter-finals. Sony got rid of Singapore players, Ashton Chen Yong Zhao, 21-14, 21-13. Sony will face players Japan, Takumi Ueda.

However, other mixed doubles, Muhammad Rizal/Debby Susanto, failed to pitch into the quarter-finals after losing to Korea doubles, Kim Ki Jung/Jun Kyung Eun, 20-22, 14-21.
