The meeting Anderson-Istomin is their first meeting in a tournament. Anderson managed to beat his opponent thanks to his first service--service that is hard and sharp.
On the other parties at the same tournament, the French tennis player Julien Benneteau also reached the semifinals, after the conquest of origin qualifying tennis player Ryan Harrison, United States, 6-4, 6-2, in one hour, 12 minutes.
The 31-year-old Benneteau will be opposed to the 26-year-old Anderson in the semi-finals, with a note on the two previous meetings, winning over South Africa No. 1.
